Just spoke to Martin @ MEF

Wants me to call round at the weekend, when I get home from working away. He does have both front and rear inserts from Germany now so it could be looking feasable yes.

Is Oli's car one of the earlier Mk3 shells ( with different front top mounts) or is it standard like a Mk 4 ?

Daz this may mean we have to use some of your bits - so obviously there will be something in it for you when yours are ready

Easy to fit once all the lathe machine work has been done, the bearings pressed into place, and the top mounts manufactured

Other option would be to farm some of the work and drawings out to a local engineering shop and risk trusting them. I'll make my mind up over this at weekend
