im really after something different,something that no one has done.and i think this is just the thing....... i want to paint it a colour that could look really nice,like a show car (without looking over the top),but still able to look street racy with a change to black wheels etc.was originally thinking silver or a magenta type colour....then i was browsing ebay when i came across these colours.my dad spoke to the company while i was at work a wile back (cos he owed me a favour) and they told him they would supply everything i would need to give me the equivelent of 6Ltrs of paint for £180!!!!!!!. i know this is more than enough for a full shell respray,but i wanted a load spare(just in case!!!!)lol
Try to picture my car painted either of these colours.i dont think they will look too over the top as people will know if theyve seen these colours in the flesh

SO when it comes out i want it to feel like a different car.
already got some parts sorted for the zetec 16v conversion(aiming at 330bhp (compared to the 210bhp that it had before it came off the road)
some HI-spec 325mm dics and monster 4pot calipers
and an AVO coilover kit
This is without dipping into my money!!!!!!!!!!!!

It will hopefully be a monster in the making

 

For the money... go for better brakes than Hi-spec.....


i've only heard bad things

 

i bought them off a mate after he wrecked his s2.they had only done around 3000miles from new. he paid close to £800 for them,i paid £400
When the car was alive and i went out in it,they seemed far from poor mate... Put it this way,his dash tasted lovely to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd say Candy Apple Red would look best, if they put it on Evo's then I think it'll be 'racey' enough for a Series 1

however i think ur crazy.... that is by far the nicest series one i have ever seen and in my eyes ur about to ruin it. in fact im seriously considering building one just like urs.

i think that those colours are best suited to the tvr, u need something racy but sutle,

how about that blue they used on the mitsibushi evo 6's its really deep, would look mint

 

Thanks for the comment mate.dont get me wrong,i Do like the look of my car.its just there are a lot of black ones poppin up.If the majority of people who had/liked s1's were asked if they had to have a different colour s1 what would it be?THE MAJORITY would more than likely say BLACK!!!!!!ive grown bored of the car as it is,and i didnt want to sell it so ive decided it needs a revamp!! I want to stand out,i want to go somewhere with my carwhere no one has been before.Ive had a long hard think over this as i was just gonna get it blown over but this is the path i want to take!!!!!!

I know Benn off here's got a Bayside Blue Series 1 which is wicked but doesn't quite suit it IMO, but why not try for something abit darker but still a Ford Colour, like Imperial Blue!

I've never seen one before and with those wheels it will be simply stunning!

 

I think if he wants something different, then imperial blue isnt really the way, as that has got to be the most popular color people choose to respray RST's that isnt a factory color.

I think your car would look a lot nicer with some different wheels m8, dont like the ones you have at the moment.

to be honest mate,i am not sure how much it was lowered in that pic??? it was lower than 60mm though!!!!! i am in the process of getting the bits to convert it to coilovers though.might go even lower after the respray!!!!!!! lol only jokin. it looks good but dont handle too well due to the excessive rear camber on the back wheels.This will all be fully adjustable by the time she returns to the roads!!!!!She'll be mint

I read what you wrote, I wasn't ignoring it: I was just quoting what the mag said. I do not know what all the paint colours are called that the manufacturers use. For all I know on that subject, pearl green may be a BMW colour.

ha ha ha . yes mate,gonna be candy apple red. no ones gonna see the outcome for a while though got a lot of money to spend yet,and a lot of changes/touches to come
shes gonna be a monster of a motor.Not all engine,more of an all round motor........... 330bhp and ill be happy

 

h and as for that green s1 above,it is proper tatty these days,he said the brakes werent much cop either,and it was PROPER SLOW!!!!!!!!!
he just sold it for around £2200!!!!

I thought that too at first and wasn't gonna post it. However, I typed in 'candy apple red' into google images. The webpage the pic comes from is linked below. Maybe it's just the sun really bright on the top of the car, as the lower half does look darker...or amybre he just got the colour totally wrong
