Ive riden past this motor before i could drive wen i was only 15 and never really understood wat it was, now im older, wiser and can appreciate this rs500 that is totally unmolested with original tyres still on it and looks to only bn driven a handfull of times, i tryed to peer through and see maybe the build no. but cant see it, it hasnt got reg plates either??

its a garage which repairs cars but there is this show room on the side with cars the owner has bought and stored but none for sale just one show! Its called colehill garage and its in wimborne, dorset

 

Should get the owner to take me for a test drive, i think this one will be around for a long time probably outlive all of us

i would be soo tempted to drive it though, if i owned this i couldnt store it i would hav to drive it! I would get murdered if i ruined this it would be too much of a risk

the age of a car generally goes by date first registered, not date of manufacture eg, my 3 door was built in 86 but not registered to march 87 therefore 87 car

 

it does yes,but the car is still built in say 86-87.

if that car is registered now,it will be a 2006 car,does not mean its built in 2006.

 

there is only 1 genuine rs500 that aint register'd mate it's build number 431 and its only done 54 miles its a white car ..all the rest have been register'd according to our records

Deffo been registered matey the guy bought it second hand a good few years ago and just stuck it in his garage I am pretty sure it has about 19k on it.
Standard example but when I spoke to him he said he would like some D40's for it.

 

A few years back i had a chance to buy a moonstone 500 wished i did now

 

it wont mean its built in 2006 technically but the same regs will apply to it as a 2006 car i.e all the emissions crap etc

Registration legislation requirements go on the actual build date of the car, not the date of first registration, so no need to meet current emmision regs as the build date would have been prior to 1992 so no cat etc required.

I know the car has bn there longer than 10yrs, ive always cn it in that garage for as long as i can remeber

a 6000 mile moonstone rs 500 sold for Ł30000 last year

so a unregister'd white car imo would be worth Ł40000 untill you register'd it then the value would drop a little if you register'd it, as you are buying a unregister'd car you would pay a premium for that.
