my rst gearbox is poping out of gear which is very odd coz it was working fine in my mates car.
my only concern is that it was out of a car for about a year and hasnt been used in that time.
wondered if corrosion inside or something like that.
maybe if i run it for a bit it will sort itself????
any ideas????

 

sound to me like box is fooked mate

 

U might need to adjust the selector rod mate....mine did this when i first put mine in, the lever was too far forward in the car and jumped out of 2nd and 4th when rolling up to a junction. Just needed to fiddle with it till i got it right.

 

how would it have got fooked coz it was ok in my mates car

 

will just need the linkages adjusted by the sounds of it

 

when they are fucked they make noises
