hello,ive just got my air injectors off daz c and they look a quality job.now i bought a l8 ecu which is supposedly set up to run t4,greys and air injector.where would the driver be in the ecu-would it be one of the smaller chips on the small board?or should i be looking elsewhere.

never had this set up before and just want to make sure its right before i fit it all/run the car.

 

Jay, the ECU should either have a Pectel board in it or it will need an external driver soldered into the loom (which MSD can supply. Its only a 4 wire job).

 

its got the board in it,would it be a plug in chip or something more obvious?

i just remember looking into a p8 ecu i had that used to run the engine now in my rs500,which was modded for antilag and some other bits,and that had extra bits soldered into the main board.i just want to check really,i trust the bloke who sold it to me as he didnt know i wanted to run air injectors,just curious i suppose more than anything

 

Not too sure which part on the board it is to be honest. I do know that the signal has to be inverted.

 

Take a pic of the ECU with the lid off & im sure someone will reconise the software & driver.

 

You really want to know if the Air-Air Injectors youve just bought are EXCACTLY the same as the ones your board is mapped for as well as a different size injector will bleed different amounts of air , ok if it bleeds more but an expensive mess otherwise
