Havn't been on here much over the last week or so as i have been ripping my car appart!
So far i have removed all the defi's,nos, als, water injection, pectel loom, carbon seats etc...and have replaced the sound proofing, carpet, rear seats, front seats, stereo etc....
I have also removed and sold (yes already) the RL7's and replaced them with some Hock R's whch i think look lovely on a 3 door
The car was running and driving until this morning when i decided to remove a few more bits and finished tonight with no engine, crossmember, suspension, brakes or gearbox in it
The engine minus the T4 is sold and is going this weekend!
So what do i do with it now???? 2wd it
Or shall i put this low power but high torque (9:2:1 comp) rally engine in it with the als etc in either 2wd or 4wd???
Fooked if i know

Spadgeroo - keep it 4WD man, put in the high torque engine (cos that is what is important anyway
), cage it, and only put back in the front seats, half the dash and the Defi's, oh and ALS

I phoned Jondell about this rally engine i have here today and they told me it was 300hp but 400 lbs/ft torque
9:2:1 comp, grp A ported head, big cams etc etc....I'm guessing it will be mental low down and will be even better if i remove the restrictor on the turbo and get it re-mapped

Yours could be pretty fooking evil with 9.2:1....Markk loves high comp and I can see why.

Daz this is running light blues at the moment with anti lag and some other trick stuff from what Jondell were saying
A few pics from this morning before i got my spanners out

Now it all resides in here and the car is looking a little sorry for itself and much lighter lol

Still looks good with the hocks on....
You neighbours must think you are nuts keep stripping it apart and putting bits back on and taking them off and swapping bits and re fitting bits and stipping it down again etc etc...
IMO the high torque engine and 4x4 would be the next best route to go down until you obviously get bored again!

Yep the neighbours think i'm nuts lol
I am a little bored with the 4wd now to be honest and this was one of the main reasons for me wanting a change
To be honest, I know 4x4 saps power but you couldn't tell in Gus's it pulls that strong!!!
You could always try high torque 4x4 and then go high torque 2wd when you are bored........ or the other way round....
IMO you wouldn't appreciate the high torque fully if you went 2wd apart from higher gears unless you hade really wide rear tyres..

But i also like the simplicity of 2wd! Engine, box, shafts, diff and thats it!!
Everything is so much easier with the 2wd (and cheaper) not to mention the fun factor i used to get in my 2wd's as well
I'll probably stick to plan A and put a good other engine in this car and sell it as a 4wd stage 3 and then buy another that is already in 2wd form and preferably in white as thats the other factor! black looks so minging when it dirty
