can anybody tell me what colour wire the speed pulse is on a 2wd saph ?
just fitted an apexi boost controller and cant seem to find it
also is there any advantage to wire up the injector feed instead of the revs ?

abs is the only chance youve got bar putting an inline sender to the speedo cable, the abs on cosworths is very very primative so dont hold your breath waiting for the correct signal

Rob, the ABS will have 4 independant pulses from each wheel. They are located on each wheel hub knuckle and the wires poke through the inner wings....
No, because you don't know what kind of pulse it's after
Don't cut the ABS wires there - they're co-ax and sealed - you'll cause problems for sure.
If it is the correct type of signal, then tap into the ABS wiring at the ABS ECU.
Neil.

You need to know what kind of signal you need for the controller,You should be able to find a square wave pulse at the abs controller from the sensors,if that is what the controller will use.....
I`ll have a check later and see what i can find..

Looking at that mate it says injector pulse in the brackets,so it might just need a Neg pulse which you can pickup at any injector........Do you have manual or electronic injection.?

i thought there would have been more ppl who had fitted theses to cosworths tbh
but if you could find that speed sensor wire that would help a lot as it needs that to learn the gears i think
Rob, ive just fitted one of these and had the same problem.
You need a square wave pulse. Scooby on this site and the westy site helped me out and ive got mine working fine.
If the cossie ABS gives you a square wave (someone else should be able to verify) then tap into that at the ABS ECU. Job done.
If not you may need to fit another sensor like I had to on the Westfield. They are 20 quid and farnell do a quality full stainless steel one, so weather wont be a problem. You can mount it and set it up to count the bolts on the driveshaft where it joins the diff. Obvioulsy needs a bracket made to do this and some wiring run to it.
Any probs drop me a PM.
I dont think you have to have this wire connected unless your using the gear specific boost option.

The AVCR will display either the RPM or the Injector duty depending on what you chose to tap into.................
Some people have connected both up with a switch to togle between the inputs.
