325i SuperChip Stage 2 ECU On A STD 325i..
Ok, i have a E30 J plate 325i all stadard and have bought a Stage 2 Superchip ECU which i fitted yet it wouldn't start, it'll turn over and try and fire but won't actually kick into life. Re-plug in the original ECU and first turn of the key and she'll start fine.
Theres a label on the ECU that reads;
Batley Superchips and Turbo Systems
Stage 2 Super Chip: Inserted On 20/04/02
Chip Code 10237/989 BOSCH
Any ideas with what i can do? - Do i need other mods to make it start?
Anyone heard/use Batley Turbo Systems/have contact details?
Any help or advice would be appricated.

Are the 2 Ecu numbers the same?
Should start 0280 or 0281 and both should be the same.
Unlike Old Fords, That 325 may have 10 different Ecu's for a J plate.

Only 'Batley' I know of is where Well Lane Turbo Centre are based - I believe they use Superchips.....
The chip would need to be correct for your type of ECU, it sounds like it *might* not be.
Best bet would be to contact Superchips direct :

EDIT: took too long to respond, Stu beat me by a mile

i know for the 87 there are 2 types of ecu and one dont work with other parts etc, also I personally found that a superchip transfered the performance to my 325i for the worst!!
Ok, cheers for the info peeps, the only other numbers on the ECU are on a little BMW sticker on the side which says;
WBAAA12050
AE53576
A05E
?
Is it possible to remove the superchip and put that into my original ECU? [I'll get the numbers off that tomorrow but they're bound to be different - i never even concidered matching numbers to cars!]
