Paul: please be aware that you may have to add bonnet pins as the increased angle on the locking catch may make it not as locked as it appears. A few people have had problems with the bonnet lifting whilst travelling due to this..and you don't want to go there. Without fitting pins you risk damaging windscreen, scuttle and A pillars should the bonnet open.

Why do you want them have you got a act problem?

I have them on my car but only because my tuner told me to put them on, not through choice Don't see the point in people putting them on when they don't need them but each to there own i suppose lol

Oh and Auto specialists do them

Hopefully mine will be able to come of soon

No, not got a problem. Purely a 'check' item so that I have a before/after comparison and see what difference the new intercooler has made.

wot sort of intercooler have you got. and it just gets a bit hot when in traffic as they all do i suppose just thought more cooling more safer but don't wanna be writing the car off just to make a the car run a little bit cooler . how much cooler does it make it?

How the hell will raising the back of the bonnet help your ACT's significantly? You may gain a few 0.? of a degree lol.

Is it really worth ruining the looks of your car (which looks pretty nice as it is) for... None of the 160+mph 1.6's seem to need them

Sorry, thought you was asking me..and also thought it was my ACT Temp thread via a topic notification. Sorry for the confusion.

Paul17
Just running standard intercooler at the minute. Got Cos 4x4 modified version with custom radiator. If you do a lot of town driving then it *may be worth getting them, but do be aware with the bonnet catch issue.

Tony Turbo
Sorry Tony, that may be partly my confused reply, altho I do agree that it won't alter ACT temps much, purely getting rid of the heat in the engine bay.
