guy called Mike Rainbird was the first stig but they got rid of him cos the BBC couldnt afford to keep funding the cars he was crashing. not sure who current one is sorry

Or is it Nigel Mansell........The Stig seemed to know the Isle of Man road in that 3 car (Porsche/Aston/BMW) test rather well - and NM lives on the Isle of Man.

And his 1:44 in the reasonably priced car was also a coincidence. He took exactly the same driving lines as the Stig as JC commented!

There are other hints too but I cant remember!!

 

Nigel Mansell now lives in the states, so its a bit of way for him to come i reckon

 

Hmm didnt know that he'd moved!! He used to live there anyway! A mate saw him on a golf course in spain in October.

 

He's in the UK a lot, Devon a lot actually...



I heard it was 2pac, or Ayton Senna, or Jeebus

 

He owns a rather nice hotel and golf club there

 

I'm pretty much sure the original stig was Stig Blomqvist but he changed at some point as he isnt the same size anymore and doesnt have the same driving style.

I don't know for definite though so I could be wrong
