Default Adjusting the metering unit

I know i know... i shouldnt really. But this is only in order to make it idle and run better so i can take it for a setup.

I need to know how to adjust the bit that sticks up just behind where the filter joins the metering unit. The part with 2 screws holding it down, and a spring inside.

How do i make it so the small rod sticking out the bottom stick out further? I get the feeling im missing something off the tiop like a screw.

Regards
Gareth

try putting your thumb over the top to sort of block it off when its running, you might find that solves the lumpy idle anyways - if its letting unmetered air in it will be running lean on idle

just take and get it set up you cant do it yourself and guess. it will cost you alot less to set it up than it will when it blows up
