I've uploaded a couple of video's mate
http://media.putfile.com/Bedford-205-mi16s
http://media.putfile.com/Bedford-205-mi16s-No2
What a top few laps that was
I havent had that much fun on track for ages, and cant wait to get the Pug back out on a track soon. Not sure if i can wait for the Nurburgring trip
Will try and get some more footage up of a few funny moments that me and Si caught on video. Pretty sure I will have Chip spinning the Beemer infront of me out of one of the hairpins, and a couple sideways moments from both me and Si, and no doubt some other stuff too.

Dunno if you're aware, but we are both in 205 mi16s, with the 3 differences being Tiff was on slicks, with big brakes and modded engine. Not excuses, just how it was
If you knew all that already, then sorry

Great stuff Nige, in our defence Sketch weighs about as much as a knats cock and by the looks of his GF shes weighs even less where as me and TIff are somewhat heavier LOL...
TifF- Flame evidence on the long video just after about 2.05.

To be fair, Tiff was quicker thru all the medium fast bends, his car was clearly sticking to the tarmac much better than mine on the slicks, but down the straights i seemed to be closing in (but we're talking ever so slightly here, maybe cos me and my missus are lighter than Tiff n Shings
)At the end of the day, it was all GREAT fun, good driving (with a couple of mistakes though
) and the cars didnt break!

And these mi16s do seem to flame a bit, i know mine puts out small blue ones at 7grand+ gearchanges, and my Si's car was putting out cossie style 5 second long flames at times too

Glad you've seen them Tiff
Im well pleased that the vid's have come out ok, the tripod was bodged in the car with duck tape and cable ties, and i was sure it was gonna just roll over after the 1st corner but it stayed up there all afternoon and got me 56mins of footage!
Am gonna buy a proper mount though for the next track day

Looked like you had fun.
Tempted to fuck the fiesta off and have my GTI-6 as a track car (or a mi-16 205)!! At least I'd know I could hammer it all day without probs!
Tiff, how do you go about gettin the right pressure in your slicks?
Marco recommended doin a couple of laps on about 18psi then comin back in and lowerin the pressure. Thats fine on open pit lane days but what about when you in sessioned ones??

Brasso
Like you i have Marco as my advisor
For instance...Donnington on a session Trackday.
The first couple of times i went out wih them about 16 front and 15 rear....
When i can in and they were hot i adjusted them to get about 25 front and 24 rear.
From that i could work out whet pressures to put in from cold and i knew that after 2-3 laps of Donno i was up to temp with the right pressures

Start out considerably lower then I take it!
I'll look out for you at Donno mate.
The fiesta is running out of lives, not sure powerfull FWD makes a good track car at the mo! I might need converting to pug power!.

Was Louise driving Nige ?
Brasso - 'sessioned' times are just that.... you can come in, and go out as many times as you like, as long as your session is still running
2 laps, in, 2 mins to adjust the pressures, and the rest of the session to play. Its only usually the first one of the day that you need to be doing that on, so wont eat up too much of your time compared to sitting on the beach waiting for a tow truck
Nice vids...

My dunlops have to be around 36 when hot to be any good, any higher they get to hot and are crap. I start off with 28 front and 34 back and after 10 laps at Bedfords they was spot on 36 all round. Anyone who saw it go round should agree it handled fine. Oh and mine are 15 inch
Sketch
good vids
told you ages ago about slicks ...
when i saw tiff in front of you i knew that you wouldn't pass him
slicks are worth a good 80 bhp
if your on road tyre you haven't got a chance in the bends

yes because they are both FWD cars and weigh roughly the same about 1000 kilo so it's about right
belive me form 18 psi cold they rocket up to about 29 psi when they get hot
thats why you have to do the pressures it's so important or the slicks wont last 5 mins ( the centers will wear out rapidly) and it does help if you can run a bit of negative camber on the front aswell it wont kill the edges so much , just abit of advice
well done lads glad you had a good day

Wasnt doubting the advice mate.
Typeing without thinking! Never occured I'd probally only need to do it on the first session!
Hopefully try them out in a couple of weeks if I can sort the breather issue out.
