Staffie Rescue walk at Crown Hotel Carlisle
Some of the members of the staffie rescue got together on Sunday and took our dogs for a walk at Wetheral from the Crown Hotel
Here is our Staffie called Ben, we had to borrow a collar and lead as we left our's at home

Ben meeting a puppy, with my wife Dawn in the picture

Had to get a little shot of my car as well

Well he's sort of ok
when they removed his eye there was damage to
his optical nerve so he can't see now
But you can't keep a good dog down!
Ł2000 later and he's as crazy as ever
worth every penny

We are thinking of getting a puppy, trouble is at the moment when we go on holiday Marty stays with the nieghbours, dont think they could cope with a pup and him, so we will wait till we come back, would love a white one with the black patch on its eye

Be prepared for some hard work. My wife wanted a second Staff
. I gave in so we have a dog and a bitch. Its hard work. Walks are the hard bit getting dragged about. And you need to keep the separate at night. Although they may be the best of friends it doesnt take much for them to do serious damage to each other.
A lad I worked with had 2 bitches one morning he got up to find one of them had killed the other and he had not even heard a thing. Although every one who has them knows they are lovely dog, they were breed for fighting.

Also to add to the above, the staffie was bred originally as a bate dog for the Pit Bulls to get the pit bull ready for the fight
