Hardly use mine any more, it only really gets watched when I'm eating/making dinner, or if there's something on I absolutely want to watch (which is rare)...

I don't watch as much TV anymore as I used to - I mean I have it on now, but I'm only half watching it as I am doing stuff on the PC.... Just on in the backround really....

Not sure I could live without one at all tho.... Like the internet, it's not ESSENTIAL to life, but without it, you'd get pretty fucking bored! I couldn't imagine life without the internet now and can barely remember life before it, and we've only had that for 10years - I've had TV all my life, so I DON'T KNOW life without it!

I agree - I'm watching alot at the moment as I'm off ill, but even so most of the time it's on as background anyway but in the summer I can go weeks without turning it on. I spend most of my time in the garden and the sun so who wants to be stuck indoors watching the box ?

Not me.

I thought it sounded a bit sad that he couldnt live without it, so which is sadder? not having one, or not being able to live without it?

I could live with out one, I dont watch much anyway but I do quite enjoy it a bit.

Out of interest how do you get on with the TV licence?

I don't watch much TV at all. To many other thing to do.
The wife watches it all the time and it really annoys me.
If I had to get rid of the TV she would probably go to!!

HMM Anyone want a telly?

Very rarely watch TV now.... only for the sport and top gear really, maybe the odd film now and then.

Spend most my spare time at home on the computer now.

Saying that, the TV comes in handy for the PS2 sessions

I don't watch much TV, prefer to have music on. Saying that, it is nice to have friends round and part of the evening be sat around in front of a DVD. Also there are a few shows I like to watch now and again.

Could I live without it? Probably yes. Any reason to? Probably not

When I first moved in I got a couple of letters, it stated if you dont use a Tv to recieve or record TV programs then write to them telling them.

Did that and got some sort of threatening letter saying if I dont hurry up and get one I'll be in for 1k fine, got on the phone and gave them a round of fucks, not had a letter or knock at the door in 2 years
Sound as a pound, I did wonder what they did....

I stay on my own and very rarely switch the TV on TBH but I dont really spend a lot of time in the house apart from sleeping

Remember last year, 2 weeks after nat day I tried to turn the thing on and after ten min or so checking wires I realised I hadnt plugged it back in since the friday before nat day
