So what did everyone learn at Bedford yesterday ?????
I found that my RST only pulls 1.2 g under cornering and braking (providing the g meter was correct ofcourse) and i thought it might have been more than that.
Theres a big difference in the balance and grip of a car between having a passenger and without a passenger. I took one of the corners out the back of the circuit the same speed as i had been taking it all day but this time i was without a passenger, suddenly the back end of the car started to break away and i couldnt get the opposite lock on fast enough and had a 70mph spin
but no damage done
I reckon that the passenger adds a little more weight to the inside of the car and helps keep the car balanced better and more stable in the corner.
A 70mph spin registered 2.2 g on the g meter
What else did you all learn

It was my first time driving a cossy on track so I had a lot to learn,
Sadly with only a few sessions on track I couldn't quite get to grip with the car fully but I didn't do too bad.
Driving something with big power and rwd wasn't as bad as I thought but trying to actually get the power down was the big issue.
I was worried that too much right foot through the longer corners would result in a spin but tbh that side of things was easily sorted with a small amount of opposite lock, turn in amazed me as last time I drove a sierra it was a 1.8 and they must have really crap steering as hardly any turn on the wheel was needed to get round most bends in the 3 door .
I think the car needed a better suspension setup as there was a lot of body roll which caused half of my difficulties, my nova was rock hard and had no roll in the bends which was something the 3 door just couldn't do.
Hopefully my mk2 will have zero body roll so I expect I will learn a lot quicker once that is done.
All in all my first go at rwd was great and only span once from just pushing a tiny bit hard and lifting off, Some tuition from the owner would of helped but he wouldn't get in his car with me

i found that going around on my own,
i was able to go MUCH fast
as having a passenger, doubled the wait of my car
but, no, was the first time i could really test the Elise and it was fooking awesome

I learnt to stay well clear of "Rammer Rainbird".
I learnt to stay out of my car when JonnyBravo drives it cos he is a girl
I learnt HongKong Phuey is so rich he can go home at lunchtime and changes cars at a whim!
And finally, I learnt to stop sawing away at the steering wheel and drive smoother, therefore only spun once all day instead of 6 times, like last year, and was a shed load faster all afternoon.
Oh, and I am defo fitting coilovers, slicks and a cage to the car this year.
P.S. First quick video clip I have posted here:

6. Dont ragg the Cayenne round the track as it ruins a grands worth of almost new tyres in no time!!!
7. Bedford is a great circuit for this kind of event.
