thanks all slightly of topic a few years back i owned a citroen ax gt which i purchsed new quite good on mpg about 38 mainly moterway driving so fithe gear often used.

at the time i borrowed the firms 1.4 orion to pick up some goods, but found that acceleration in fithe gear was non existant compared to my citroen, is the fords fithe gear a very high ratio??

a friend had escort 1300/1400 we went on moterway noticed in fithe the revs were very low.

thank you

if your worried about fuel in an xr3i you should stick to push bikes mate

all the xr3i`s ive had have been ok on fuel mate so stop thinking and just buy it

why not you just ask the neibour whos car it is what its like on fuel????
