Default Anybody not use the Oil Cooler modine on a Cossie???

Im thinking of taking mine off, so wondered if i'd really notice any major difference???

I realise it could affect the temp slightly, might even drop the water temp a little, and if the oil runs slightly hotter i could always add a coiler.....

The reason im taking it off is because the extra plumbing is a pain in the ar*e and takes up vital room......

Any thoughts?

I did.

Just route the heater matrix pipe back into the head, and run a small oil cooler.

I know the modine is used to warm the oil up, and regulate the temp, but your car aint exactly your average road cossie now is it?

Yeah true...

Plus i dont even have a heater

So as long as i driver steady and allow the oil to heat up properly (might be a bit slower???) before giving it a thrashing i should be ok?

Lots of other make cars run with a cooler instead, i dont think you will have a problem, and although it helps the oil warm up i cant see it making a MASSIVE difference to how long it takes really as the oil is passing up through the block continuously anyway and absorbs heat there.

Do you need to still retain the flow from the head???

or can both connections just be blanked off?
