ST200 absolutely all the way, unless it's a MK1/2 RS

Deffo go for rs2000 buddy ,that engine tunes well as mentioned !!!

Duratec v6 doesnt tune easily ,i know as i have had a st24 and my mate had an st200 ,they are superb car for the money but just not tunable, and a st200 is twice the price of a st24 and still isnt twice the car !!

St24 peeps buy the st200 bits and bobs to modify but that is costly ,and ford already tuned the st24 and produced the st200 !!, and nasty news is that the st200's do actually suffer engine failure and is very common !!

RS2K tuneable? WTF?!

If you're into spending a couple of grand for an extra 20-30bhp then fair enough!

Don't start with me boyo, I'm a bit of an Escort nut! I really like the RS2K, but to call it well tuneable is madness!

Anyway I'll only be Fiat boy til April, then I'll be something else entirely

ST200 all day, RS2k are nice cars but it all depends what you want. A hot hatch or a fast roomy faimily car.

Jay u PEN 15

If an engine is tuenable, then it's easy to extract extra power out of it. And it's very east to get power from an I4, much more so than say a Zetec.

So why does everybody else say it's not? Not at reasonable cost, anyway. Are you talking in a cost is no object sense?

You'll need to throw quite a bit of money at either of them to make decent power over standard.

The only real way forward with the 200 is to supercharge it so i hear.

Had an Rs2k 4x4 now have an ST200, no comparison to be fair such different cars, the RS was a really nippy car, especially on the back lanes, where as the ST is deffo a Cruiser...

Depends what you want from it, if it's for fun and a bit of comfort go for the RS, if it's for comfort and a bit of fun the ST

very common when??? my car gets driven hard.. very hard and done around 70k and hasnt missed a beat.. the v6 will only fail like any engine if its not looked after..

the 200 is twice the car believe me.. the differences mods wise is huge.. its even got an uprated clutch over the 24..

personally id have the 200 (course im gonna say that as i have one) but their more exclusive for starters and has more road pressence than the rs2k IMO .. again unless were talking mk1-2

if your gonna be doing motorway miles get the 200 over the rs2k.. mine eats em up and i fill fresh at the other end unlike my mk6 gti that didnt enjoy cruising at 100+
