BAD CREDIT....CAN YOU PAY.....

I have recently cleared all my debts and finance.

I have a CCJ from 4 years ago and defaults on my name.

Now all is payed does anybody know if you can pay anybody and have a "freshen up" of your credit rating, or is it simply 6 years from term......

No you can't but if you have satisfaction notices from the Creditors Experian / Equifax will mark the debt as settled. It cannot be removed.

I am told that if you pay a CCJ off then it will come off your credit record within 28 days....

Does this sound readonable?

No CCJ's definately stay on your record for 6 years.

The only way they can be removed is if you pay the court order within 28 days of issue then it will be fully removed.
