Default FAO All Secs Monitor owners :)

A lot of you may have noticed that once the display on the monitor has warmed up, it starts to fade out and you have to adjust the contrast for it to be seen properly again

Today I fitted a little modification to mine in the form of two 40mm cooling fans to keep a stream of nice cool air to the monitor - so far it seems to be doing the job, but will only be able to find out for certain on a long journey, in which I will post up results of the modification

These are the fans i fitted:

and i forgot to take pictures

My Pectel monitor does the same thing in the winter when I have the heater vents on hot, as it sits in the banana pod above the hose and the heat transfer causes this. All I have to do is turn the heating down and it comes back again. I think I will just do some sort of insulating dividing wall of some description.

Nice one, mine is in the standard saff place (Where clock should be) and does fade ever so slightly when it gets hot. There's plenty of room behind the monitor so i reckon might be worth a mod if the problem gets worse

Cheers for ya help
