Default no brakes!!

Hi all just a quicky set off to work this morn in my saph 4x4 got on the motorway tried to brake 4 my junction and no brakes! to say i shit myself is a understatement managed 2 stop on the handbrake luckly no cars on the sliproad got it to my mates house round the corner couldnt see any fluid leaks and still full in the res could it be an air lock or is it more likly 2 b the master cylnder any help would be great cheers

sounds like the abs pump has packed in or the fuse has blown - check the fuses and relay under the dash on the passanger side, between the ecu and transmission tunnel.

if they are ok, and the wiring is good, then the pump is shagged


btw - do you take the A56 Bury New Road into manchester off the M60? (J17) on a morning?

Cheers for the info will check that this weekend no down the m67 to the 60 then to wythenshaw but only got to denton

had that in my old 205 mi16 - was knackered master cylinder iirc!
