really need to try out another coil too see if thats wats causing my car to cut out wen hot!
If ne1 has a spare coil i cld try and maybe purchase if it solves my lil problem

I got a spare coil, where in the UK are you ? Its unlikely to be a coil causing it to cut out when hot, more likely the fueling set-up. Have you had it tuned recently ?

 

I agree, but i also have a spare coil if you are convinced you want to try it.

 

cheers for the rapido replys, i live in Bournemouth, Dorset! I can pay for postage by pay pal or sumfn! no i havnt had ne recent setups, its really strange, it wont cut out in the morning on the way too work but will on the way home, it starts fine after u leave the car for a few mins too

 

Hi cuvner,I had the exact same problem as your good self,only it happened at trackdays.Basically the car would die when out on track,BUT would always restart after the towtruck got us back to the pits!! And guess what the problem turned out to be?????????Yep,the coil!!!! If I was you I'd go to the local scrappies and get a coil,any one will do,£5 max cost,and stick it in.Hope this helps you,regards Micky

 

Take it you have changed the dizzy cap and rotor arm. Also theres a sensor in the dizzy that tells the coil then to fire. The plug to this is on the top of the dizzy, these get broken or the wiring inside gets broken and causes it to cut out at random and then wont restart at random.
