Default MANAGEMENT OPTIONS ON A S2

Im dropping a 2.1zvh in my turbo, but haven't sorted anything to do with management out yet (as i skint )

was just gonna go the 5th injector route and keep it on MFI for the moment til i can afford better. would this be ok?

what options have i got for EFI? and what are the costs involved?

also what gains will i see from EFI?

cheers

Cossie, EEC4 to start with..

Then there is the aftermarket stuff like Pectel, Autronic, Motec, Gotec, Omex, GEMS, Haltech, Emerald, DTA etc etc...

Lots of options!

The MFI on a 5th injector will be ok but not ideal. The benefit of EFI wll be more ignition, fuel and boost control and better drivability.

I would use Weber (Cosworth) as a decent ECU which will be able to control your engine no problem could cost as little as Ł60 on Ebay.

The money you could get by selling your MFi Items like Chipped ECU, Mixbox etc etc.. would pay for most of the Weber EFi management parts.

Once fitted to an engine the limits are endless, which is where a well built engine comes into account.

Your talking about dropping a ZVH into your bay. Why not just use the Zetec head which will probly cost less than machining your CVH head and Zetec block for a ZVH. Its pointless restricting a decent Zetec block with a CVH head.

How much is the best CVH head you could buy gonna cost??? Ł800?900?

Compare with a STD Zetec head which will probly flow around the same Ł100
