JUST GOT SOME NEW 4WD DISCS AND NEED TO KNOW IF I NEED 4WD CALIPERS AND CALIPER MOUNTING BRAKETS TO FIT THEM.
WHAT OTHER MODELS USE THE SAME SET UP FOR THE CALIPER MOUNTS.
IF YOU HAVE DONE THIS PLEASE HELP SO I CAN GET ALL THE STUFF. THESE ARE THE REAR BRAKES AND CALIPERS IN QUESTION CHEERS MARK

Yea ive done this u just need the 4wd discs and 4wd calipers thats it, they will bolt straight on!

the above is very true as that is exactly what i did , the only point i would mention is if you get second hand calipers from say Paul from North Yorks Spare (top bloke ) you will get the sliders as well but if you buy brand new 4by calipers you will still need to get some 4by sliders.

Have a look on E-Bay for some Granada cosworth rear calipers

Got a good used pair including sliders for Ł39 off a bloke on there thats allways breaking Cosworth Granadas

hi
whats the difference with 2wd and 4x4 calipers as i was told there both the same and the only thing thats different on the rear brakes are the discs.

The discs are vented on a 4x4 cosworth,20mm wide,the 2wd cosworth are non-vented,10mm wide.
So the 4x4 calipers have to be wider to accept the wider discs

ARE THE 2WD SLIDERS THE SAME AS THE 4WD AS I AM BUYING THEM OFF A MATE BUT HE JUST HAS THE VENTED REAR DISCS AND CALIPERS [NO SLIDERS] AND WANT TO KNOW IF I NEED THE 4WD SLIDERS ASWEL CHEERS FOR ALL YOUR HELP.MARK

You need calipers complete including sliders

The disc goes through the caliper and the sliders,so needs to be wider for the vented disc

i done this just robbed them off a grannie estate at my local breakers they even had new pads, i then bought new cossie discs and thats it.
