I've got my restoration to the point where i need to choose a paint colour...

I was thinking about a gunmetal type grey of the latest series of evo's - but figured it might look a bit dull and that maybe i should be looking at a 'proper' colour...

So go on guys - share your ideas

edited cos i didnt read it properly mm id say black or some dark colour mate on a s2 looks cool.

 

Thing is - if i do it white then its going to look very much like Tony Turbo's and Christians - i don't want to do whats been done before, i want to do something a bit different - i.e go for the evo gunmetal so dumbasses will think its mercury grey, but anyone with there head screwed on will come chat to me

ive always wondered what a car would look like if you took all the paint off completly and just sealed it????
so it was just the bare metal look!!!

probably look shit, thats why no ones done it before

purlesent purple turns me on, same as on the TVR speed six's!!!

if you're going gunmetal route the M3 grey looks the Tits IMO, CSL colour ....

Evo gunmetal looks a little dark IMO

Imperial blue looks the nuts on an S2. That gunmetal does look impressive tho - really tough

I like Matt Black or Silver.
Company called Parotech done a really nice matt silver, think it was on an Audi.
Could go really mad and have it Chrome. I saw a Sample that Specialist Paints were doing and it looked mental......got to have somes balls to do a S2 in chrome tho.
Always picture a chrome car looking like the truck trailers you get in America.

 

I had one of my S1's re-sprayed in black years ago, looked sweet

Might do another one soon.

or maber the new foucs/fiesta zetec blue ( the really bright metallic one )

i saw one parked up side by side to a focus rs at darlo ford the other day , two different colours completly

 

beefy you ant got a clue you make sarneys i do the body work and it is deffo the same colour as iv painted a zetec s fiesta and its imperial blue

well think someone wasnt happy with the paint job then as the new 55 reg zetecs are not !!! painted in imperial blue !!!!!!!

Start a new thread and get the worlds opinion on there - even get a mod to put a poll on

 

i know mate but he has no clue back to your thing though it dosnt need to be a car colour you can more or less paint it any colour you want all you have to do is find the colour you want and take it to a desent body shop and get them to match it

 

I hate to say it - but there's a mazda colour i've found that i quite like...

 

ive always wanted a mallard green series 2 - saw one once in northampton years ago and then was it sold- just need the cash to do it
