Why would a new clutch slip? I know for a fact its not an oil or water contmination issue. But my S2 give her some beans and up goes the revs and the speed just stays the same.

sticking? Incorrectly(badly) fitted and aligned? Excessive wear on flywheel?

Wont be lever, there is allowed play in the clutch cable anyway...it would have to be on SEVERLY bad to pull the cable tight enough to move clutch.

I recon Flywheel. Which SHOULD have been checked when clutch plate was fitted...

Ah but was checked with a straight edge and feeler gauges and was fine. Can you buy clutches so crap that they just slip.
