do any of u guys have a external wastegate.why would u have one.what makes it better than an internal.

 

I have Holset HX35 and I am going to use 2wd cosworth exhaust manifold with external wastegate, which is 46mm Tial copy. I'm using external one simply because the turbo that I bought didn't have internal, or it actually has but since it is normally used in diesels, it only dumps the exhaust gasses from one of the divided flanges (not both like it should in gas engines). I think the main point for going external one is when you have very high flowing turbo, you have to have big enough wastegate that can bypass enough air. But I'm no expert and my english is poor so someone else can tell you how things really are
