Lee,

If i sent you a Bailey power steering tank, could you lop off the outlets and weld some threaded unions in place.. AND also weld a bracket on to the side of it so I can mount something to it?

Im sure Lee could manage all of that ! Can i ask if your going to aeroquip the power steering pipes to the rack as that is something ive thought about but haven't looked into yet ?

aaahhh ! then my question is - where do you weld the fittings, onto the pipe or directly onto the rack where the column end is ?

me personally i would get get the rack tapped and have the unions going directly into that, but its alot of work.

not sure what the bling boy is doing in regards to your question

yes im quiping the power steering system. reason being

a) i fucking LOOOOVE aeroquip

b) the std system seeps a hell of a lot, hydraulic fittings will sort this out a treat

I would be very interested to hear how you get on with this , mines a 2wd
rack but the job will be much the same , are you going to weld on male JIC fittings on the rack itself or join on the metal hoses ?

Tony, the easiest would be to use heat shrink over the ends, then jubiliee clip to the rack.. but.... as you say, doing it properly involves JIC unions at each inlet / outlet.
