hi guys we have been building a quickish mk 2 escort for a while now and its almost done the owner has come to insure it and has been asked for an engineers report on the car can anyone tell me whats involved in this or have a copy of one i can read also where would i go to get one done ? how much ?

You need to go to an MOT staiton, they assess the car and write out a report if its ok then you send it to the insurer

and mine was more of an assesors/forensics report, not quite the same thing... i just rung round a few places from the yellow pages

it wasn't cheap tho

 

Enginers report, obviously you told them diff suspension brakes and everything, as above, good local garage should be able to do it...

 

cheers guys , hey lewis this car will be going to usc we are trying to find somewhere to paint it at the mo we have the car ,paint, a painter but no spray booth also do you know anyone with a car trailer we could borrow for the usc weekend ( if we cant get the car painted that is ) cause the dude still wants to take to run it up the strip
