Im just arfter some advice on buying a saff cossie.I ALREADY HAVE A S1 TURBO BUT IT IS TO CLEAN TO USE THROUGH OUT THE YEAR SO IM THINKING OF BUYING A SAFF SOMTHING THAT I CAN USE ALL THE TIME. MY MATES KEEP SAYING TO BY A SCOOBY BUT I HATE THEM . COULD U TELL ME WERE THE ROT SPOTS ARE ETC PLEASE HELP THANKS

 

look for rot around the sun roof, (open the roof) rear arches, in the boot and lower doors also check the head gasket at the rear corner of the head on the drivers side

also check for rot near the rear spring's on the chasis.

 

also the rear n/s chasis leg is a problem this i know good luck on ur mission lol

 

Check for smoke when starting up, making sure that it isnt burning oil,or that the turbo isknackerd also oil leaks round the head gasket/rocker cover. When you test drive, have a mate sit in the back or follow you to check how much smoke it kicks out when you put your foot down.....dont be to alarmed as most smoke at this point
