Default 205 block

If getting a 205 block from a transit, is it a straight forward job of bolting all the existing bits from my cosworth 205 block in?
Is there anything i should know when doing this??

Yea, that the block might not be able to take the power your gonna put into it!!

I was gonna go down this route when i melted mine but........i was advised not to by a few peeps on here. The cast is techinically the same but they used the blocks for different applications for a reasons, and were marked accordingly to be used for transits, grannys, cossies etc.

Prob find it would last but u gotta ask urself if its worth the risk

cossie blocks came from the transit production line and were selected on bore grade (size) the best ones were put aside for cossies....if you are having it rebored i cant see it making any difference
