hi
my RS2000 has started to be a bit unseady when it is sitting at idle. the needle goes up and below the 1000 mark.
also when i come to junctions etc it sumtimes struggles to hit idle straight away, it drops well below where it should b as if its going to stall!
Any ideas or suggests wud b a great help.

the mk5 rs2k are prone to this it may need a new idle control. it should sit at just below 1000rpm at 950 when idle.

 

idle control valve on side of air box prob needs cleaning out, try using carb cleaner..

 

thanks guys, can you narrow down to where the idle control valve sits exactly and wot it looks like plz?
