IMO of course.

Too hard, and they don't last. Wear out far too quickly. Pointless for quick road driving, as they're too unforgiving. I had AVOs, and still do on the XR. Price to rebuild the AVOs was too high so I bought a set of new SPAX coilover (this was for my old Polo GTi) and was impressed with them.

XR suspension is being replaced with Bilstein ASAP.

You get what you pay for

The dear ones are good, and the cheap ones are cheap (obviously lol)

They do quite a few different types

The monotube ones are great, but at just over £1k, not exactly cheap...

The budget ones by their own admission, are nothing more than height adjustable "show" suspension.

got them on my car (avo coilovers). and the car really handles well even though i havent driven it in 1 1/2 years.

been thinking of breaking the car or selling it the way it is now.

make sure you change the springs to ensure you get the right ones as the ones in the kit are far too hard.

Mike knows which ones
