your engine produced 208 and 233 ft of torque.

as you see from my sig I had more bhp but you have shit load more torque. What zorst have you got, I know you have a MSD chip so if its the chip its gives a massive torque gain?

O on your post on interford the pipe goes under the right hand cyclinder head, it can be changed with out the need of head off but it is a fiddle.

johnny, its first worth mentionin that the car was running VERY lean on the power runs. showing 15.5:1 going up to 16.5:1 AFR as the revs increase!!. thats losing it quite some power (and probably going to melt something if held flat out for long periods!) i have since cleaned the MAF and it feels like its gained another 10 or so BHP! i've yet to test the fueling tho (my AFR gauge setup arived today so i should have it installed by the weekend)

the exhaust is all custom, nice propely bent downpipes running down either side of the box joining just after the gearbox into a single 2.5" with a centre-box then running into a cossie backbox (goose one i think) cost me SHITLOADS tho as i had it all built in stages. the downpipes alone came to about 350quid! the middle section was about 150 (from memory)

the chip does indeed make a MASSIVE difference. the power in the midrange is greatly increased. it transforms the way the car drives.

also remember i'm 2wd so maybe the transmission losses are different compared to yours.

just wait till the emerald management and the cams go in. I think it's possible to hit 240ish bhp if it gets mapped properly. might even be knocking close to 250 if i get some tubular manifolds on her too watch this space.

here's the graph by the way:

Jim how close is your engine to my engine peformance figures considering they are complete oposite type engines.

My RST made 209bhp and 231lbft but the curves are completly different but they still make the same figures

andy, they do indeed produce similar peak figures, quite shocking really!

i'm quite dissapointed with the lack of power above 5K rpm. this is not at all what the other 24vs i've seen tend to do, they normally hold their power quite well (200+lb/ft) over 5K. i'd like to know why mine drops so steeply. nyone else got a RR graph for one?

Fil, why thank you, hopefully in about 6 months time it'll have some proper power running through it

johnny, I'm probably gonna get dave walker to map it as its his ECU so he knows them inside out. if i'm not happy with the map (which i doubt as he's got a V good reputation) then it'll be up to Stu & kenny in blackpool

i may be wrong, but wouldn't running lean produce an increased figure on the rollers, or is that only applicable to turbo charged cars.

12.4 i believe, reason i say it is because when my car was rolling roaded on greens it made 360bhp, which i beleive was exaggerated by the fact the car had a fault that made it run way past 12:1 after 5500rpm, i'd guess it's true figure at the time more like 340 had it been running mid to high 11's
