Alvyn,
i check mine every couple of thousand miles, go around the underneath with a torque wrench, and do a spanner check in the engine bay

lots since i lost my n/s/f wheel on a r/s turbo s2 at 80 mph on the a59 on my way to work ..its scary when you hear a bang look left and see your wheel bounce out the arch and fook of left.. ..only minor damage though disk brake..arch side skirt...black rubber on wing mirror ...and a square wheel in a farmers field in burscough...all wheel nuts where loose..only locking nuts holding them on...this happend at half 4 in the morning...peak hour... ..somebody could have died...just think if you see somebody trying to rob a set of wheels..

I must admit I DON'T really check it that often(only when I hear something loose) BUT guess I should start NOW as components are certainly under alot more stress now

Dont be tempted to overtighten things tho mate.

Always use a torque wrench
