hey mine aint rusted,,,,, ive changed EVERY STEERING and BUSH part of the car,,,,,,,,,, all new bearings and new pads and disks and now i need to change the engine mounts and the engines rocking has cracked my exhaust

i'd love to find one bein broken somewhere coz i need the pipe that goes from the brake servo to the inlet manifold coz ive just changed my series 2 to efi

 

theres 3 in the scrapyards at Pimhole, Bury, in various states of Rot .....

xr2i or something it will fit as ive just finished a conversion on a escort and used a fez item

i had a efi escort was ok engine crap so put a zetec in it and sold it for peanuts

 

I had a few XR3is, but in one the floor pan had rotten completely unlike the part rot in the others, true Fred Flintstone style, used a mixture of fibreglass and in parts, paper mache to get it sold

 

The XR3i EFi was RARE to start with, so why do you think they would be common now?

Nothing crap about them mate! Infact i think they are one of the best cars to own as a base for a project. Also the XR2i and mk5 RS2000

Anyways i have an engine if you need one and manifold.

I have the pipe needed above.

and i know there not crap........ im just annoyed that mines playing up and cost me soo much cash as when i got it i done 30k miles with NO hassle at all , mot comes up and the fooker falls apart

The Efi's are only on the 1990 and 1991 models as far as I know, so they were only produced over that time.

 

i know they arnt quick but stick the rs kit wheels and recaros on there and your away thats what my first ford was and for those of you who are anti xr3i mine never had rust anywhere under it the mechanic loved workin on it its only floor was its electricals and the fact it had done 150k+ i was goin to replace it with a blueprint but bought my grey s2 they are good for the new driver that cant afford the s2 or its insurance

 

I hated my xr3i with a passion, did my very best to kill it

 

well that was essentially what they were for i thought i remember rallying mine at 80 mph round some dirty single lane back roads and doin burn outs till the tyres popped course i already had my s2 at that point they are just the classic boy racer car really i sold it for Ł1100 not bad for a g plate xr ay

 

Not as rare as a MK5 Escort with a CVH engine with EFI.
I had months of going to the scrap yard looking for one for my MK5 Turbo
