i'm looking at buying a RS500 does any one on here know this car ?

it's one hell of a trip to have a look at a car that might not be as good as
it look's

its been in the local paper here for sale before...few months back now...was in for 18k i think

I thought RS500s had no front fog lamps is that right?

 

that's the problem mate! long way to go for it not to be as good as it
look's cant view before end of auction due to work commitment's
and it will be lot of money to spend on something i havent seen

still got your car then mate look's good on the new wheel's

 

they did come with grill's but supplied fog light's in a box in the boot just
in case you wanted to fit them

Sure that it was advertised on ebay before. If it is the same one it said that one of the front wings wasnt original. Not 100% sure it was this car but may be worth asking him before you set off.

yeah thats a tricky one, though if its a garage and hes been askin 18k for it,, expect some `bids` to go on near the end, so unless your willin to spend circa 17k on that i wouldnt make too many plans

yeah still got the cos, havent used it in months, fancy a change now but i dunno what

 

If that car has been on Orkney all its life then check for corrosion...

Its hardly the driest place in the British Isles and all that salt air too...

Also, there cant be many places this car has stretched its legs

when the car was put on e-bay this time there was a buy it now price of £15500 that has now been removed for what ever reason
the seller has sold 2 outher 500's in the last 12 months..
a mate of mine has seen this car in the last year and he says it's mint..

the corriosion side of thing's is what is worrying me like you say
not the best off places to keep a car

cheer's darren do you know if your mate got to look under it all? it's the
chassis's floor and what the kit hide's that worry's me.
