many say the T3 is much better, yes it does give more power at higher revs and unlike the T2 doesnt run out of puff at 5K+

They are also cheaper to buy than a T2.

from the top of my head, and I will be corrected if Ive missed anything out, you will need the manifold from a ERST, modified downpipe, move rad forward.............

also you have to do a bit of butchering on the intercooler pipe work, but overall my T3 is the best mod so far, i would highly recommend.

The oil drain pipe is different and so is the block connection. The push in block connector is about £1 but th epoxy pipe is about £30

The T3 is by far the best turbo to put on the Fiesta, I just don't get why Ford didn't do it in th efirst place.

If you have half an ounce of DIY talent you will be able to do the conversion. The toughest bit I dealt with was mating an Escort doenpipe to my FRST system. My bro soon sorted that out with some spare stainless and his welder

Nope you need to relocate it under the battery.

The worst bit was modding the boost hose from the turbo to intercooler. That was bitch but got there in the end

Ah well. Call it practice and do one one for the passenger side. You should be good at it now

My bro's FRST has my old Pace intercooler on it and we still managed to T3 that. It just means a bit more trimming of the bumper and bottom panel

Mine has a T3 on it and when i bought it on the first night that hose popped off, looked at it the next day and whoever had made it had made it out of two jubilee clips and 3 bits of hose

Then the actuator put a hole in the rad so i had to get that re-cored...

so deffinatly move the rad forward!!

You can't not move the rad or as you say Shell you will put a hole in it. I just droped the bottom locating lugs out of their positions towards the bumper and used the original top fixings and have about 25mm of clearance now. Even with very tired engine mounts I have no probs.

Hi,

I've also found myself a T3 I probily start this weekend whit it. But one Quesion did you all connect the water cooling? And I now am running on standard T2 whit 14 PSI and 165 chip. If i 'va fitted the T3 wich boost can I run whit the 165 chip?

Cheers.

I retained my water cooling by using th eEscort RST top rad hose and extending the return pipe to the rad. I'm using a 195 chip on mine with no problems but I would recomend speaking to your local friendly tuner

Ok thnx. Think that i will not connect the water cooling too. It is running hot already whit the T2 if I step on the gas. Do you all run whit a 195 or cutom made chip and on whitch boost? And did you replace the fuel pump as well for a stronger one?

You can run with the 165bhp chip no probs just get the boost set at 14psi on the the T3 actuator,
I run standard chip on mine with water but if i were to chip it i would blank the water up to keep the engine temperature down,
yes down the water that runs through the turbo goes back through the engine cycle hence higher engine temperatures,
The downside to NON-water cooled is that you have to let the turbo wind down correctly i would advice a turbo timer for this.

Ow ok thnx, I thought that it could maybe be a difference 14 psi on T2 and T3 because the T3 is bigger. So thought that i have to run less boost whit the T3.
The downside of it is ok, I'm used to it. I always let the car cool down and warm up.
