Default Cleaning decision

right then, after going through my car cleaning box i discovered that most of it was either empty or had gone off!

so i compiled a quick list of what i needed and just had a look on the net for some prices etc.

now i'm looking for advice really, i noticed the autoglym stuff is much cheaper than the meguiars products. i am planning on sticking with meguiars polishes etc, as i have found them to be much better than previous autoglym ones i have used. my question is are their cleaning products better

i'm prob gonna be spending between 50-100 quid on products so i wanna get the right things and will buy them all at the same time from someone who will cut me a deal.

just wondering how meguiars leather cream, wheel cleaner, bug and tar compares to the autoglym products i have been using for years

can someone also explain what microfibre towels are for? everything? claning the dash etc? is there a difference between polishing off with a terry towel and a microfibre one?

sorry for all the questions just looking forward to making my saff as mint and keeping it that way

Ive gone right of Autoglym since I tried Mequiars.

www.maxx-waxx.com do mequiars and other good quality products at good prices.

Mothers are also very good

I use microfibers for everything basically with very good results!!!

was hoping you would reply

seems the meguiars stuff is more expensive than autoglym, but will stick with their waxes as they make much less mess, and give better results.

will try that site you said

so i apply the wax with the round applicator then polish off with a microfibre cloth??

when you say you use them for everything, do you have specific ones, ie bug and tar, polish t-cut etc? may have to get a few then

are they machine washable?

cheers for giving out all this advice, havent really gotinto the old bufty thing with my old car, but this new one really deserves it

have a list as long as my arm of cleaning products to get (cant decide between autoglym and meguiars on some things) just need to find the right shop to buy it all from

Yeah dont use one for everything, have a few set by for specific roles ie polishing, bug and tar, alloys etc.

Yes they are machine washable.

That site i posted is the best for prices on mequiars etc.

i use autoglym bug&tar removal and glass cleaner, but i use maguires 3step protection on the car its self.i also use 2 microfibre cloths when polishing the car,(after applying wax/polish with a lint free cloth)i use the first to polish off the wax/polish,the second to buff to a high shine

ps; i tried both bug removers and found autoglym out preformed meguires, but meguires blows autoglym out of the water for polish/wax

i have found that too, the meguiars polishes are sooo much better, but the autoglym cleaning products work better, and they are almost half the price too
