i know sweet f a about computers and dont really want to but these damn pop up things just wont stop
im on aol broadband (yes i know ) which has pop up blockers switched on and pop ups are blocked on internet explorer aswell but im constantly getting them ! They appear to be coming through from internet explorer but its set to block all . can any1 shed any light on how to stop the damn things please.

Mozilla Firefox... great browser blocks pop ups by default

 

Yeah if you dont mind downloading Firefox and using another browser then get it, that will definatly cure your problem, its what i use and ive never had popups for years

If you dont want to download and use another browser then download Googletool bar from above

 

Open Internet Explorer, click on tools, pop up blocker, then e sure turn off pop up blocker isn't ticked.

Thanks chaps been running google toolbar for nearly 10 minits and so far so good , would normally have had half a dozen in that time . fingers crossed
