Boot shot – note strut brace not shown, brackets are in the photo and the carbon cross tube is also included in the sale
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...e/DSCF4151.jpg
And here’s the reason I’m selling it – I have owned 2 Evo 8s now for 6 months, and as much as I like the Black one, the Silver one has best part of 600 bhp, and I want to spend more money on that one.

Thanks Rich, doubt anyone could pry that 3 dr out of your hands, you've had it ages haven't you?

I do like 3 doors, and in Black would be just right :respekt:

But I need coins to keep modding my Silver one, and buy some kind of decent diesel car for the 55 mile drive to my girlfriends place.

No link I'm afraid, I got them off a mate of mine on the MLR (Mitsubishi version of this place) when he broke his Evo 7.

If you go on the Wanted section on that Forum and put up a post, a trader should be able to help, or someone will know who retails them :top:

It's looking as good as it ever has in my ownership. My other plan was to swap the nice bits over from the Silver Evo on to this one, as I'm really attached to it. This car with 600 bhp would keep me amused very nicely

But too much work to swap it all around sadly

I'll swap it for the loan of your dingy? The tender on your boat's probably worth 5 times what this is!

PS, care to exchange your ride in my car for a ride in your daily transport?

Thank you, I thought the same and really lucked out with these wheels. They are in absolutely mint condition, and set the car off a treat.

I have another set in 18" size for the Silver car with some cut slicks. I like BBS rims a lot

Ye i'll have had it 6 years on the 1st of December, but I love the look of the EVO, in the first photo it just looks amazing I think it's mainly the wheels they are ace.

Your 3 door is stunning too Doug :king:

Tough choice for me when I broke my Saph, as an Escos or 3 door were 1st choices. AJ off here had taken me out in his mint Tommie Mak Evo 6 though, and that kind of sold it to me, I love the instant punchy power delivery, and everything is of course newer - nearly 10 years newer compared to an Escos for example. Just means for my use, they last longer or work better £ for £.

Still would love a 3 door or Escos track car, but kind of hooked on the Evo thing at the mo!

Really nice looking car, decent spec list too.

What is something at this sort of tune like on fuel??

Basically the same as a standard car unless you choose to rag it. The mods only drink more fuel if you use the power - ie on a track instead of getting say 12mpg you'll get 10 or something.

On the road, it's fueling comes under close loop lambda control, so is as good at 350bhp or 450 bhp as a car at the original 260 bhp.

I got 25 mpg on a fast run on the roads, 27-28 on a sensible (75-80 mph) motorway run. They're not known for economy to be fair, but then nor are Cossies or any other 200 bhp + petrol car.

The car is mapped to run on any 97+ Ron fuel, so unlike some Evos, you can fill up at Tesco, BP or Texaco no drama rather than just Shell V Power, which is never around when you want it!

Would love to see an Evo done up like your Escort Scott, not many bufties in the Evo world, and those that are normally more standard cars.

I'm the same with the X, although some well modded examples look pretty good. Won't go wrong with an 8 or 9 :DD:

If I hadn't bought the new Evo with big power, a forged GT3076 motor would have found it's way into this Evo - 450 bhp is a really nice safe power level

mechanic28 25-11-2009 07:23 PM

You right james you should stop coming in this section!your even starting to see things:content::cry:;-)

VERY nice mate, always said to myself i wouldnt buy another Evo but having seen this one its well tempting!!!!

Is that what they are selling for these days or have you priced it well under book?

Good luck with the sale

Thanks for the info mate... sounds a shitload better on fuel than my Impreza STi was anyway!! £60ish of V-Power got 150-170 miles.

Car looks stunning though, sure it'll be snapped up pretty quickly, bet the boys on MLR are pretty tempted.

Cheers,
Grant

Would save some money of a Focus RS, plus it could be a nest egg in the future.

Bad point is he would talk to Mark at MAD
