Default e36 rear diff

hi there i know its a beemer but im after a rear diff in a ratio of 3.64 as its havin cossy lump and box in it, does anyone know of a diff that would fit even from other model? any help would be appreciated steve.

to be honest mate i wouldn't waste my time putting something that powerful in such a horrific car you will stack it as they don't handle at up you'll find it does nothing but understeer best bet is flog the beemer and be done with it, i used to like bmw's till i owned one and i will never own one again didn't handle was crap on fuel and wasn't particularly comfy so to put a cossie in one is just asking to die lol

but in relation to your question and not just ripping your project to shreds ,

stock cossie diff is 3:54

or you could try e46 m3 diff , 3:61 ratio iirc

well maybe you should of put some decent suspension on it then.

You can always correct the understeer with a boot full of rwd power

I would defo do the conversion as the E36's look better than Sierra's and im a die hard Ford Sierra fan

if i remember correctly, the E46 SMG2 and manual diff have not the same ratio, just for info..

E36s have long final drives compared to sierras! on the 3.0 M3 (5spd) 5th gear is 1:1 with no overdrive, and that's 160+mph @ <8krpm!
