Two new tyres, don't want to just change on one side!

I can remember running over a small branch, then about 5 mins later then noise which was the flap of the tyre (quietly at first.... until it began to sound like somebody banging the car with a hammer) hitting the inside of the arch started. Can't of been that though. Best bet is I had wheelspin over a sharp object or something?
