so although the peak bhp might not increase much, the area under the torque curve if you look at the whole range will increase with the extra capacity.
No it won't. I agree with ur theory, but it just doesn't work in practice. The whole thing with the 1600 is it has a really nice power band. The torque drop off on a ZVH is horrendous. And the head is far from asthmatic - mine ported by Karl has the same VE as a std cossie engine
