Bloke i was talking to has got it all fucked up then, he's got a 1.8 8v GTI engine in a MK1 golf, made a shit hot job of making bike throttle bodies fit on a custom manifold, then he says he's made the runners as long as he can fit in the engine bay (around 13 inch's i think he said) so as to get as much top end power as he can as it will be revving to 8.5k
surely they should be direct to head for top end power going by what you say? especially as it's an 8v and already has a decent amount of bottom end grunt
His fab skills are second to none but he's poorly advised by the sounds of it
