Default Piston ring question!

the piston rings need to be spaced so that the end gaps on the rings
are at 120 degrees from each other.

HOWEVER
the oil control ring on engines
(im thinking Zetec here but i'd like to know for cosworths too)

the oil control ring is in 3 pieces.. Do you space the
3 seperate layers of the oil control ring at 120 from each other too??

OR do you count the oil control ring as 1 piece and therefore only
1 end gap??

(so just put it at 120 degrees from the other 2 end gaps in compression rings.)

Sorry i dont know if my question is very clear lol

ARE Cosworth YB oil rings 1 piece or 3 piece like zetecs etc?! thanks!!
