have you got an aftermarket alarm/immob on it ? is it wired into the ign system ? this would let the fuel pump prime ( if its not wired to fuel) and when you crank the injectors will inject but there will be no spark , then if you happen to get a miss/spare spurious spark then it will ignite the fookin lot
