Do they have to notify me if they were to cancel my policy?

Reason i ask is i paid the insurance in full about 8 weeks ago but the full amount has been refunded into my account by visa from NUD!?

Now i'm thinking they must have cancelled my policy and not told me/letter has got lost in the post?
