ok i took out the unit opened it up and its as dry as a bone
i re soldered all the points and cleaned the board
no componants have signs of damage and test ok with a meter.

but still the same problem. according to the haynes manuall the whole lot is passed through a relay, any ideas which one or where it is as i cant see it,

btw its not just the lights that dont go out its the door open indecators as well
including petty and washerbottle lights

its really annoying in the dark

please please more help
