On an early saff,the warning light control box is in the footwell(o/s i think)and fairly unprotected,as they get older and start to leak around the bottom of the screen,water gets into the control box and when you drive it swishes around bringing the lights on.

Find the offending control box(aluminium can about 6x6x2)and take the lid off and dry it out,should work a treat then...
